And So Our Mission Begins

My name is Gregory M. Lousignont. I was a lifelong friend of Father White. I knew I had to take the first step on this journey to have Father White recognized as a Servant of God. However, I knew there would be many of the faithful who experienced Father White's loving presence in their lives and this trip would not be a lonely one. After designing the coin and boomark, I started to reach out to names of people who knew Father White. Most of the names were from comments left on the Obituary of Father White. Others are people I know from church.

My first contact was with Lee Frances White, Father White's niece. We had a wonderful conversation as I explained to her the mission I was initiating. She in turn said she would start to reach out to contacts she had met, who were close to Father.

Just like a Prayer Chain the word spread. I received a call from Sharon C. today who gave me the names of several of her friends who knew Father White. She told me a story of sitting next to a priest, who will remain nameless. She asked him if he by any chance knew of Father White. Sharon said he responded, "You mean the saint?" He knew who Sharon was speaking of. I spoke to her of assembling an advisory board to assist in the day to day activities of this mission.

That was followed by a text from Melissa B. who expressed her delight in hearing of this endeavor. She gave me the names and phone numbers of her mother, Mary D. and a friend Mary Anne H. who she knew would be interested in talking to me as well.
